Go From Owning Investments to Understanding Your Portfolio
Learn what bonds, gold, international stocks, REITs, dividend strategies, and other major options are actually meant to do so you can decide what belongs in your portfolio and why.
You already did the hard part: you started with a broad index fund.
Now take the next step without copying someone else’s portfolio or spending years piecing together conflicting Reddit threads and YouTuber opinions.
Build a system you understand and make your own investing decisions with confidence.
Hey, I’m Josh
I’ve spent years teaching people to buy simple index funds, make investing a habit, and play the long term ownership game.Â
That foundation still works.
But “just buy the S&P 500” doesn’t answer every question that comes next.
What belongs beside your core fund? What role can bonds, gold, international stocks, or income investments play? And how do you know whether adding something actually makes your portfolio better?
Most investors are left piecing together answers from Reddit, YouTube, and people following completely different strategies.
I created Beyond the S&P 500 to explain the next layer in one place without handing you another portfolio to blindly copy.

Lock In $27 and Get Both Bonuses Today! My Guarantee:Â Read the whole guide. If it doesn't change how you build your portfolio, reply to any email within 60 days and I'll refund your $27 and you keep both bonuses.Â
How long is the guide?
It will be around 100 pages and designed to be actionable rather than just read. Most chapters end with a decision rule or a short exercise you run on your own portfolio. You're not reading 100 pages about diversification. You're working through your own portfolio as you go.
Is there a print version?
It digital only and that's on purpose. The guide is built to be used with your brokerage open. It links directly to the free tools I use for checking fund overlap and sector weightings and the exercises walk you through researching ETFs as you read. A printed copy would turn a working guide back into a book. That said, it's a PDF, so if you want paper in your hands, you're welcome to print your copy.
